Hi! Welcome to ketzel!
Thanks for clicking over here to meet me and read my story.
So, for the better part of a decade (also known as my 20’s) I was a publicist in Toronto. Running around the city, throwing parties and working red carpets was the routine. I loved every minute of it! Especially the incredible community I was lucky to be part of.
Somewhere along the way I fell in love, got married and settled into a house in Toronto. One year later we got pregnant! My husband, Cory, was born and raised in Hamilton and had been commuting back and forth daily to run his family business. With a baby on the way we knew we wanted to change up our lifestyle, so we packed up and moved to Hamilton.
At 5 months pregnant waddling around hardware stores and setting up our new home became my full time job. Well, that and driving back and forth to Toronto because all of my friends were having babies too. I was constantly searching for special gifts or ordering online from expensive American retailers to find something personal and unique.
It was at that point that I had an aha! moment. I realized that I wanted to create a shop for my fellow Canadians that brings you a curated collection of beautiful baby gifts that can be designed and personalized right at your fingertips.
On May 1st 2017 our sweet Benjamin was born. After 6 months exclusively dedicated to baby cuddling, rocking, kissing and stroller walking, I decided it was time to bring my idea to life.
So here it is! I’m thrilled to invite you to explore ketzel. I hope you’ll find it easy and fun to create your own special baby gifts that will be cherished for years to come.
