Natural and Neutral
The biggest trend we're taking into 2021 is natural, gender neutral spaces. Muted and warm tones that can grow with baby and transition as needed.
Pairing Pastels
Layering in pastel colours is the perfect pairing for a neutral palette. Bring colours in through rugs, one painted wall or nook, floral wallpaper and decor.
Tip! Temporary wall decals are less of a commitment and expense. Here's the one's I used to transition Ben's nursery for Shiloh, Urban Walls Watercolor Dots

Bringing in Nature
If 2020 taught us anything it was to embrace the outdoors. Bring nature in with house plants, artwork, a little DIY wall hanging using natural materials.
Cool to be conscious
Thrift or track down hand-me-downs for baby's dresser. Repurpose a side table.
Tip! Pull in sentimental decorative items from your own childhood like a rocking horse or vintage wooden toys.
Minimal and Mature
Bye bye baby-ish. Notice a trend toward using more mature furniture pieces, lighting fixtures, paint colours, and decor. Creating a space that flows with the aesthetic of the rest of the home.

Personal Touch
Personalized everything! Add baby's name to blankets and toys. Create a meaningful little sanctuary with keepsakes that you'll hold onto forever.
It's a VIBE
We've all gotten pretty good at this stay at home thing. Creating a peaceful vibe in the home is a must - and especially the nursery. Choose soft lighting, add a dimmer switch, layer the space with soft textures, objects that bring you joy.
